1.000 km du cœur

I would like to contact you to present a sports and human project supported by the Rotary Club Esneux-Aywaille. They are 7 Sprimontois members of the Fraiture cycling club and initiators of the 1.000 km du cœur project in 2014. In 2014, they connected by bike our beautiful village of Sprimont to Vidauban in the Var in 7 days, nearly 200 km per day. At the time, they raised € 10,290, which was donated to Télévie (research against cancer).

In 2016, it was the hardest race in the world on 1 day that awaited them to know the Tour of Mont Blanc and its 330 km for a height difference of 8,000 m. With the profits generated, they donated a check for € 9,000 to Pazapa, which helps children with cerebral palsy. The rest helped to create a ramp for a teenager in a wheelchair.

This year they go on an adventure by crossing the Alps from North to South in 4 days for a distance of 800 km with nearly 16,000 m of elevation gain, a high-flying sporting challenge.

At the human level, we will support the association “Help for Children with Cancer” University Hospital of Liege (our club has been supporting them for several years) and Cap48.

Would it be possible to help us to facilitate this sporting feat that will fully benefit two associations that help day to day disabled and children with cancer. Our Rotary Club Esneux-Aywaille works all year round with this sports club for various local helpers and we support each other (hand to hand) during local activities.
