About our charity Move For Children #M4C

Who are we and what do we do?

Created in 1996, our biking club , the Vélo Club Fraiture (VCF) started to support diverse local charities and raised more than 50K € in 5 challenges (2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2021).
In 2020 we started to brand our charity activities under the name Move For Children (#M4C).

This year, like in our 2020 trip, we’ll help in 2021 a foster home (La Loupiotte), a boy with muscular dystrophy (Duchenne) and we added a charity taking care of children with cancer (AEC, #AEC). In 2022 we also added La Mohinette a foster home in Sprimont for diverse specific projects..

The #AEC project we support:

A child with cancer who is to receive a bone marrow transplant must stay at least 6 to 8 weeks in a sterile room at the CHU de Liège.
Which means mom or dad is in the hospital.
The family is completely upset, disorganized, but above all the siblings are somewhat neglected.
There are only three marrow transplant centers in Belgium, including the CHU de Liège. Where children sometimes come from very far away (Couvin, Bouillon, Waimes ……)

Our plan is to be able to welcome the family at least on weekends so that mom and dad can find the brothers and sisters. But also that the parent who stays with the child can have a welcoming and warm place to rest, relax while remaining close to their little one.
We have just bought a house in which we are going to build two small apartments, but it will take a lot of energy but above all a lot of expense.
Transformation of the building into two apartments, interior fittings, furniture …
We hope this project will get your full attention, thank you in advance.
