Chapter 46 Exciting July/August 2015!

yeap July/August 2016… I am under the impression that home is a concept… I spent less than 2 weeks at home from July 1st till August 18th! That was far from a 6 weeks holidays, I had activities in the following countries, on top of my home place:

  • UK
  • Netherlands
  • Luxembourg
  • France
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Italy
  • Slovenia
  • Croatia
  • Lichtenstein
  • Bosnia-Herzegovina
  • Montenegro

I can tell you that the only pauses taken in these 6 weeks were photopheresis and recovering from the treTment.

Now I clearly enjoy 2 weeks relaxing in my village and getting ready for the challenges coming our way from September, London, Oxford and The Hague being my main travels. On top of this, locally important events like my 50th birthday, the 50th anniversary of the Rotary Club I currently preside and related activities!

Fortunately the treatment is fruitful and even if we know it is slow process, being positive is key to recovery and looks like it works! I feel cool about all this as I see I can keep up with all these activities and enjoy life! Sure I have challenges ahead and keep up with treatment but hope is there!

The latest photopheresis went well these last couple of days and looking at my body, it gets better and better but even if I think I know myself better than ever, I am no haematologist so I will see what they say based on the latest tests, blood, urine and breathing exercises. As usual I have that monthly stress as they may have found something new or something going down for whatever reason. I would really like to be cool for my trip to London tonight!

That’s it… Am now out of hospital… Fighting with train but should be in London soon with good news from the doctors! All is ok and under control… We keep going as it is as we can measure the impact of the treatment and in this case even status quo is victory! Am looking forward to have dinner with a reader of this blog tomorrow night! Sure that will keep inspiring me…

See you soon guys.
