Belgium Liège Le Mekong

Some of our good friends were intrigued by my blog post and the pictures I made that night… so I booked for four and I must admit once again it was a strike!

the food was top and the service even if simple, straight to the point and with a smile… If you want to go there, you need to book in advance as they only have +-20 seats. They have a really nice menu and at the price that can’t be beaten in the area…

If you are around Liege and you are looking for genuine Vietnamese meal, you have an address now… we love that place and will definitely keep “converting” our friends!

We were supposed with the club to visit an exhibit but (un)fortunately it closes too early and we then had to find a plan B, a rotarian colleague had the bright idea to recommend that place. We were actually lucky to book on time as this restaurant only takes 20 customers and this Friday we were 17!

Now to be clear the place like nothing… small place with no charm or fancy deco! On the other hand, you will eat the real Vietnamese food cooked by a Vietnamese chef and not a vaguely Asian restaurant with Westernised type of Chinese food!

The card is showing a large variety of dishes, meat, fish, vegetables, noodles, rice, … We all went for soup followed by a starter then a main as they did not give us any constraint even for a group of 17 we could order at our own will and so we did!

So you understand by this that the service and the kitchen are also ready to be flexible to make you happy and all your questions will be answered as well… only one waiter but effective and efficient… not one single mistake in the different bills and there were 9 of these and at speed 🙂

You will never believe that soup followed by a starter then a main with a bottle of sparkling water for 2 people it was less than 50€! Hard to beat this in Liège…

You really need to go there but book first as it is only 20 seats!
